ASHWAUBENON — Village voters had two contested local races in the April 6 election.

In the race for Village Trustee – Wards 11-12, Tracy Flucke held off a challenge by former board member Mark Williams, 273-210.

Flucke was appointed to the board last year and previously worked as the village’s parks director.

In the school board race, incumbent Jay VanLaanen defeated Heidi Murphy 1,291-784

VanLaanen has held the seat since 2003.
