GREEN BAY — In a surprise move to many analysts and answer to a prayer for many Green Bay Packers’ fans, running back Aaron Jones appears to have reached a deal to remain with the team.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jones has agreed to a 4-year deal worth $48 million, including a $13 million signing bonus, Jones’ agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN.
“Aaron would have signed for more in free agency but wanted to stay in Green Bay,” Rosenhaus said about Jones re-signing with the Packers.
Jones tipped his hand about the deal with a post in his Instagram that read, “Let’s run it back.”
